Sometimes it can be difficult to speak up when there are needs or concerns in our school. Please use this anonymous form to notify a school administrator or school counselor about a concern.
This is for student use only.
If you need to pick up your student early, please send a note with your student in the morning, or send an email to the attendance office. We know that emergencies happen, but we ask that you give the office at least an hour notice when you need to pick up your student. Please call the office if you are unable to give us advance notice.
March 31st - Cesar Chavez Day - No School
April 3rd-7th - Spring Break, No School
April 18th - 8th Grade Panoramic Picture
April 27th - Minimum Day, 12:35 dismissal
April 28th - Board Holiday, No School
Attendance
If your Student needs to leave School early please do one of the following:
1. Send your Student to School with a note including time, reason for leaving and who will be picking them up. Students can give the note to Mrs. Garcia at the Attendance Window on the side of the office.
2. Email dvmsattend@mdusd.org also include time, reason for leaving and who will be picking them up.
Once at School you can sign them out at the Attendance Window on the side of the office. Please be prepared to show ID.
Also, Students checking in late can see Mrs. Garcia at the Attendance Window with a note from the following:
Doctor/Dentist/Ortho/Parent

Student Illness Guidelines
According to District guidelines, before returning to school, any student experiencing Covid or Covid-like symptoms must either get 1) a negative Covid test, 2) a written clearance from a medical provider clearly stating that symptoms were the result of something other than Covid-19, like a pre-existing condition (e.g. seasonal allergies, chronic migraines, etc), or 3) complete a 10 day quarantine. The list of symptoms include:
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
MDUSD has several sites administering Covid tests daily. A list of sites can be found at mdusd.org/covidtesting if needed. Please feel free to email or call our office if you have any further questions.
